It has been about more than fifteen years from now that Hyundai Santa Fe is available for the market and we can say that it has high popularity. This is a mid-size crossover and the previous model was released in 2013 with some updates and restyle. Some critics mentioned that Hyundai needs to go far enough. 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe should be more different from before and it is strongly suggested by many automotive experts to come with facelift. It doesn’t matter if the company doesn’t give much update for its exterior part and the most important is the new engine.

Design

2018 Santa Fe will be designed with little lighter weight and it happens because the massive use of aluminum and another possible material is the composite for its bodywork. We can say that Hyundai wants to show their aggressive action and they have no fear for the innovation. What is more is the restyling plan to give a new look especially for the headlights, rear part and the exhaust system. Those changes help the car to come with different look from before but the design language is still recognizable.

The cabin will be supported with usual technology such as climate control, navigation, multifunction steering wheel, Bluetooth, USB and hands-free calling. We will also see satellite radio and BlueLink touchcreen infotainment system. The supportive seats design will give you ultimate comfort with the fully adjustable design. The base variant will get cloth upholstery and the optional will be high quality leather for 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Engine

For the engine wise, it will be the biggest change in this car. Hyundai mentioned that they will use 2.0 liter and four-cylinder turbocharged gas but we think they are also introducing the 3.3 liter and V6 engine which is capable to produce about 290 bhp. The output will be sent to the six-speed transmission and we assume that there will be both auto and manual gearbox to complete 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. With the weight bodywork, the crossover can hit about 26 mpg on highway.

Release Date and Price

So, it will be the third generation of crossover and it will hit the Asian market first such as China and Korea as the main market and then it will be followed by US market shortly after that. It is expected to come in the showroom in the end of 2017 or in the beginning of 2018 as the new 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. It will go with few variants such as Sport, Grand and the base model. The price will be close to the current model and the base price can be about $30,800 while Grand can be about $37,000.
