To complete their lineup, Audi has a plan to give fully updated design for all their cars from 2016 to 2018. You might hear about the new A6 and now we are moving to the luxurious coupe-like hatchback named 2018 Audi A7 with all rumors and speculations surround it. What we can say is it will be a new car with the same style as the latest models from Audi and it means that this car will be completed with new lighting, most advanced technology and sharp look. Before, the Audi A7 is almost similar to the model A6 but the difference is the A7 has richer equipment with different body design.

2018 Audi A7 Front Angle

Design

2018 A7 for the front side has almost completely identical to the upcoming Audi A6 as what you can see in spy photos. The wider radiator grille and the narrower headlights complete its new look. From its profile, it will be more different compared to the current model and the company will retain its very long liftback for its icon. The rear end is also designed with new taillights as well as redesigned license plate placement. Based on the spy shots, we can see retractable spoiler for its released position.

Audi will execute the cabin with new styling cues and there is a strong possibility to give fully electronic dashboard which is called Audi Virtual Cockpit. It will be presented for the initial version. The rest of the details inside will repeat the A6 for 2018 Audi A7.

Engine

Since it is born as the result of cooperation with VW Group, it will be available with the MLB Evo modular platform for a lightweight design and this gives positive effect especially to give better handling and fuel efficiency. In addition, the new 2018 Audi A7 might repeat the sedan engine lineup completely, except the initial four-cylinder engines. There is a strong assumption that there will be exclusive V6 engines and turbocharged with the design of naturally-aspirated. It is only available in full-time all-wheel drive Quattro and the transmission can be eight-speed automatic.

Release Date and Price

2018 Audi A7 will come as an updated sedan and its presentation is expected to be started at one of European Motor Show in the end of 2017 so that it is ready for sale in 2018. As we mentioned already, it will be completed with more technological details and the expensive platform support the car to have more expensive price than before. The cost can be increased for about $5,000 and the base trim level can be available at a cost $75,000.
