2018 Subaru Legacy
Several changes are possible to complete the new look of 2018 Subaru Legacy. It will be the fourth generation and the first debut was started in 2015. It means that this car will enter a five year product cycle. It comes with various mid-cycle changes but Subaru would not remove the sheet metal, dimension and the most specifications. Several modifications will be added in order to give fresh look so it can stay competitive with other new cars in its class.
There are some changes we can highlight around the exterior such as sleeker front fascia. The grille will be redesigned as well as the bumper cover to give modern look. What is more is the new headlight and taillight modules while the optional can be the steering-responsive headlights. We glad that the CVT will be updated because it will make the new 2018 Legacy has better fuel economy that can be about 1 or 2 mpg more efficient than the previous model. The most interesting part is that the car will go with some exterior paints that you can choose based on your personal taste.
Inside the cabin, you can see some parts that will be redesigned for its fresh look. First, the gauge cluster will be updated and the steering wheel is completed with the optional heated system. The steering ratios are also revised while the suspension geometry is enhanced to give you better handling with 2018 Subaru Legacy compared to the previous model. Even you can use the auto-locking feature when it is shifting to drive mode. Some existing features are adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, pre-collision forward braking, Blind Spot Detection and the last is Rear Cross Traffic alert. Subaru has a goal to add more space in its interior. It can be bigger than Accord and Camry but there is no doubt for its comfort.
About the engine, 2018 Subaru Legacy might get 2.5 liter of displacement for standard engine and it will be kept. The changes will be on the transmission to improve the city fuel efficiency. Subaru doesn’t offer manual transmission and they will go with continuously variable automatic transmission for 25 mpg in city and 34 mpg on highway. There is also the optional 3.6 liter and six-cylinder to provide high torque and it works with Lineartronic Continuously Variable transmission to provide 256 hp
