2018 Hyundai Sonata
Dave Zuchowski as the CEO of North American Hyundai division lately confirmed about the facelift that they planned for 2018 Hyundai Sonata. Just to let you know that the current generation was released about last three years that was in 2015. Now, they are ready to shock North American market to present their mid-size sedans with serious work and to take the dominance in that market.
Regarding its update, 2018 Sonata has been confirmed by the company. All confirmed points are linked with the announcement of US division of Hyundai CEO. He mentioned that the team will work together in order to present this new generation with a totally different front fascia. All the outer parts are well-executed for a more beautiful look. This can help the car to come out with more elegant design than ever. The different design makes it very unique and it seems that the company wants to remove the too-conservative look for its styling which is better than Altima. What they will keep from the current for its outer part are the side parts and rear end.
There is nothing we can give to you for this part. The company is quite short in giving us a clue about the new 2018 Hyundai Sonata. Perhaps, it is because the car is still under the development and they are still working with the exterior as well as engine for its main highlight. We think that they might only give small updates for the cabin. but they must know that we are expecting the car to come with the updated features and higher level of quality materials for our ultimate comfort.
2018 Hyundai Sonata for the engine, there is a strong assumption that the company will use the same engine as the current model. If it comes to be true, it means that the base model will get 2.4 liter and four-cylinder engine that is capable to produce the amount of output for about 185 hp. If you want more expensive engine details, you can take 1.6 liter and turbocharged engine with the GDI technology to provide 178 hp. It is less powerful, but it has eco-friendly design because the use of turbocharged units to increase the fuel efficiency even more than 28 mpg in city. Besides, don’t expect to see V6 engine, but there is a new 2.0 liter twin-turbocharged unit to deliver 245 hp with the impressive fuel consumption rating about 21/30 mpg.
Release Date and Price
Although the CEO has claimed about the facelift, there is no official information yet we can find for the actual release date of 2018 Hyundai Sonata. We suppose that it can be around the fourth quarter of 2017. For the cost, it seems that the price is starting from $22,000 for the standard. We think that the price is still competitive to start the battle in its segment.
