2018 Mazda CX 7
We thought the new 2018 Mazda CX 7 wouldn’t come soon. It might be prepared for the next two or three years as a new crossover because the company doesn’t have no plan to release their all-new CX-4 in North America. Now, we are surprising to hear that this Japanese automaker will give complete redesign for this car and they will share most components with CX-4. Interestingly, it will be more different from before with new size.
From the outer part, the design will be available with a coupe-like design and there will be Koeru Concept to use. It makes the upcoming 2018 CX 7 has ultra-sleek look with some interesting details for its both front and rear. The front has sculpted and massive hood with shield-shaped grille with the grille frame extended to the headlamp. It gives aggressive look for this crossover. Besides, there is also sporty look with the sloping roof and sporty profile. At the back, there is rear hatch with big grille and large bumper. Its alloy wheels make this crossover has sporty touch.
By using Koeru concept, several details from CX-5 will be added such as the same steering wheel, the new infotainment system with free-standing design, aluminum accents, leather seat cover with contrast stitching and many more for its premium and luxurious feel in 2018 Mazda CX 7.
Now, this is the most important part. 2018 Mazda CX 7 doesn’t go with its own platform. In fact, it will use CX-5 architecture to borrow. This SUV is a bit stretched and the company will use new suspension system to improve the cornering and handling capability. In addition, it has MacPherson at front and Multi-link system at its rear. Some engine options will be presented. First, you can go with 2.0 liter SkyActiv unit to produce 155 hp and 150 pound-feet of torque for the base and 2.5 liter SkyActiv as the optional to offer 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. It is possible to go with 2.2 liter diesel unit for 173 ponies and 310 lb-ft of torque. It will be mated to six-speed auto transmission and buyers can go both front and all-wheel setup.
