After a decade, Nissan family will send the Nissan Rogue back to the market to complete the competition on 2018 season in SUV segment. Some reliable sources mentioned that the new 2018 Rogue has new framework, interior upgrade as well as improved propulsion system.

2018 Nissan Rogue Front Angle

About its outer part, 2018 Nissan Rogue might get small updates just like the current new SUVs. But, we have been anticipating it for a decade. It is not something too much if they can complete the exterior with more different look by removing some old parts. It doesn’t matter to keep their iconic details outside for its recognizable look, but a new redesigned part is more important if we are talking about its more functional performance.

We can say that this SUV has a long list of equipment with some features that will be kept from its current models. But, it doesn’t mean that Nissan doesn’t have any innovations to complete this crossover. You might see some includes the electric power-assisted steering, hill start assist, trace/ride control, braking, four-wheel brakes and anti-lock braking system in 2018 Nissan Rogue.

Under the bonnet, 2018 Nissan Rogue might be designed with standard petrol engine and there is no official announcement yet for the diesel unit. It is possible if they add it to the lineup. The current reports mentioned that they will go with hybrid. The standard will go with 2.5 liter and four-cylinder with the support of CVT transmission to deliver about 170 hp and 175 pound-feet of torque. This engine will work for front-wheel drive system. There is AWD as optional. The fuel consumption in this engine is about 26 mpg on combined.

In addition, hybrid cars are growing fast right now because the huge demand. Before, it was believed that it didn’t support hybrid powertrain but at this time, many SUVs come out with hybrid combination. So, what we can expect is that they will develop hybrid unit to complete their market. Although they don’t confirm anything, they also don’t reject all current rumors about 2018 Nissan Rogue. The company insider only mentioned that the X-Trail hybrid is possible to offer with the use of platform from Rogue or Pathfinder. If so, it will make this new generation more versatile with less power but more efficient. Once Nissan creates this, it will be a fuel-friendly SUV with most economical performance.

Release Date and Price

2018 Nissan Rogue is still hard to get known for its release, but we expect that it can come out somewhere in 2018 and the price should be not too much far from the current model.
